Brand Nature:

(PH)OLA is a premium lifestyle event that blends music, culture, and fashion in iconic outdoor locations. Hosted on 30 December 2023 at The Ostrich Ranch in Cape Town, it featured high end experiences, brand activations, and top tier entertainment.

Poster Brief:

The task was to design a series of posters that built suspense and excitement as the event date approached. The visuals had to reflect the (PH)OLA brand is luxurious, vibrant, and youthful while integrating key information, countdown updates, and sponsor visibility.

Key Steps in the Design Process:

Custom Typography (Illustrator): Bold, festival inspired fonts were created to set a distinct tone and highlight important messaging.

Scenic Backgrounds (Photoshop): Edited images of Cape Town’s coast and skies created an immersive sense of place.

Sponsor Integration: Logos of Hennessy, Channel O, Jägermeister, Amstel, Standard Bank, and others were placed with care to maintain visual harmony.

Final Design & Colour Palette:

Sky Blue (#87CEEB): Summer freshness

White (#FFFFFF): Clean contrast

Sunset Gold (#FFD700): Premium warmth

Black (#000000): Anchor text and logos

The layout balanced readability with energy ideal for social media, print, and digital displays.

Conclusion:

This project was more than a poster campaign, it was a visual journey crafted to build anticipation and deepen brand identity. The creative process, carried out in collaboration with TNT Media Productions, involved strategy, storytelling, and consistency across every design asset. The result was a powerful visual build up to one of Cape Town’s most iconic year end events.
