Poster Brief:

The showcased t-shirt graphic is a central piece in STEEZ KILLA’s debut apparel drop. The design blends a bold visual of iced out grills with layered, raw typography spelling “STEEZ.” Each letter within the teeth forms “KILLA,” making the artwork scream energy, personality, and street heat. The design intends to resonate with youth who wear their ambition loud and their confidence louder.

Key Steps in the Design Process:

  • Ideation: Started with the concept of merging steez (style) and lyrical aggression.

  • Sketching: Multiple hand-drawn grill designs were explored before refining the final version digitally.

  • Typography: Custom, distressed red font adds grit and movement behind the central graphic, echoing urgency and power.

  • Software: Adobe Illustrator was used to refine the vector elements. Photoshop was applied to texture and simulate real life print mockups.

  • Colour Testing: Five variations were created to test the emotional impact of different font colours red, pink, grey, white, blue, and green.

Final Design & Colour Palette:

The main version features bold red for visual aggression and contrast. Alternative palettes allowed exploration of vibe shifts blue for chill confidence, pink for disruptive boldness, gray for minimalists, white for clean pop, and green for energetic vibrance.

Audience Research:

The brand targets fashion-forward Gen Z and Millennial urban culture enthusiasts who gravitate toward individuality and street credibility.
